Docs / Liquidation

Liquidation

If the price reaches your liquidation price, the position closes and the collateral is gone. You see that price before you open.

Where it sits

The more leverage, the closer the liquidation price is to your entry. A position is liquidated when the coin moves against you by one divided by your leverage, less a 1% margin kept back. Drag the leverage to see it move:

Small coins move fast

A coin at a 5k market cap can move 20% in a minute. At high leverage that is enough to liquidate a position before you look back at the screen. Lower leverage gives a small coin room to move.

What you can lose

Never more than the collateral you put in. A liquidation takes the collateral and nothing else.
